This song is about grappling with grief and loss. I wrote it for our friend Rikky Cohn in an effort to document the rift that the loss of his life has left.

“Blue” expresses memories shared with Rikky and tries to capture the challenges one faces in navigating grief in all its shades.
Through the process of writing this song, I found a way to carve a path through the experience by choosing to feel his presence in the things he loved, and in turn try to record those feelings.
